| how it happened...Friday:
So
while I'm busy at work stressing, running around, asking for the needed
numbers-- Ansel is making his way up to the city with Sam and Kiki. He
picks up the ring that he had custom made...
In the evening he
takes my mom and dad out to dinner. According to my mom he was very
nervous so she asked him what he did that day. He responds with "i
went to San Francisco..." LOL. My parents knew why he was there.
Later that night my mom and Ansel's mom "went over the minutes" (per
Ansel's Dad) as they wondered when he would pop the question.
In
the evening Ansel calls me up and asks if were're hanging out on
Saturday. My stressed out self I say, "well, yeah but I need to work
from home tomorrow... if you don't mind I'd love to have you over!"
Saturday:
10am
Ansel comes over. I had just started my laundry and was about to get
started on my work. He asks if we should take a break and relax/hang
out since we hadn't seen each other for a week. I asked him for 1 hour
of work time before we relax...
Noon, 2 hours later : he asks if
we can take a break. I say sure, but I'm hungry let's go to "In N
out". Away we go to the drive thru! When we return I ask him what he
wants to watch on TV while we're eating (that's our routine). he says
anything is fine so I pick "Enchanted".
another ~2 hours
later he asks if we can take a break and play some video games or
something. I say that "we've just taken a break, give me 1 hour of
work".
1.5 hours later Ansel's taking a nap. I wake him up
and say "let's take a break! thanks for waiting!" He suggests "club
house games" on the Nintendo DS. We lay side by side on my bed and
start "picture chatting" while we play. He suggests that we play "hang
man".
He sets it up:

say "sure, ok! I guess-- A-E-I-O-U". Ansel responds with an annoyed,
"you can't guess so many letters at once! And you can't guess all
vowels! -- you can only use 2 vowels or else you'll guess right away!"
I stuck with "A and E"

With very few vowels I had NO idea what it could be.... I focused on the " _ E" and I tried to come up with all the words that ended in "E" .. ---"BE...WE...HE... TE(!?!)"

at this point Ansel says "gosh, ok fine you're almost about to die now so go ahead and use vowels"..
so I proceed with "I...."

Ok now I'm confused... I think to myself... "Will you marry
me???... ok... this must be his joke... he's going to laugh and say
"just kidding--I fooled you huh?" (he does that A LOT)...but he didn't
even giggle at all!!! "this is odd" I thought... so I decide to "guess"
another letter...
"uhm.... 'W' ?"... then "Y"... .

I'm still holding my breath... I think "why isn't he laughing and then start a new game??"

So... very quietly and cautiously I ask "wait... 'will you marry me?' "
At
this point he gets off the bed and asks me to stand up. I'm COMPLETELY
confused and I keep on stuttering "wait... what??? huh????" instead of
standing up I am stuck kneeling on my bed. "argh, stand up, oh and
take off your hat too!" He then gets on one knee after pulling the
ring box out from under my bed and asks me "if I would do the honor of
making him the happiest man for the rest of his life".
practically
hyperventilating I say "yeah!" and he proceeds to put the ring on my
ring finger... except it gets stuck!!!! it was just too small!
Ansel:
"we're not moving from here until we get this ring on!". After
slathering on a bunch of lotion I shove it on! The ring is SO
beautiful!!! He got exactly what I wanted!!! :)
He and I are fiances now!!!!
